Last/Width type: The XC3 uses Shimano's Dynalast, an anatomically curved last that eliminates hard angles and conforms better to the natural contours of the foot. The heel sits deep in the shoe and shoes hug the foot.
This is quite a narrow, close-fitting shoe but it's also available in a wide E-width option which provides an extra 6% of width across the ball of the foot and an extra 5% of volume in the toe box.
