The mid-cage version is optimised for impact survivability and is the top choice for everyday trail riding, offering unmatched durability, quick, precise shifts and added weight savings when paired with the 9-45T compact cassette. The long-cage derailleur paired with a standard 10-51T M8200 cassette gives all types of riders the range and robustness to tackle every trail on the mountain. Both feature all-new wireless Di2 shifting, automatic impact recovery, and additional ground clearance for a bash-free ride. With built-in Automatic Impact Recovery, a new, impact-deflecting wedge shape, and simple covered-pulley solutions, these derailleurs stand up to harsh trail impacts and still retain their lightning-quick shifting speed and high level of performance, built to be relentlessly reliable so you are free to focus solely on the trail ahead.

The Shimano RD-M8250 Deore XT Di2 Rear Derailleur is sold without the battery or charger included. The battery is designed to fit inside the derailleur, but must be purchased separately. To get the battery, you must purchase a complete Shimano XT Di2 Upgrade Kit or separate battery.
